Directive Principles of State Policy

These are the Directive Principles of State Policy, which provide guidelines to India’s government for them to keep in mind when drafting legislation and policy. The principles may not be enforced by any court, but are essential to the government of India. The Directive Principles aim at promoting the welfare of people, and establishing a fair and just society. They are described in the Part IV of Indian Constitution.
